Our publication rose from the embers of the Great Tube Strike of London on June 10 2009.

Our aim is to provide breaking news, balanced opinions and irreverent comment.

Clerkenwell is a notoriously fertile ground for intellectual and innovative endeavour and has nutured the great minds of Lenin, Oliver Cromwell, Daniel Defoe and Steve Ward.

It is now the site of a media revolution which is set to spread like wildfire across the English speaking world. And the name of the revolution?

newspark is the brainchild of 16 of the most exciting young minds of their generation.

Thrown together by chance (or fate?) these 16 will unceasingly struggle ’til they have laid bare the truth before the cold, hard light of public scrutiny.

The newspark team pride themselves on covering both sides of every issue and are free from the political bias of the mainstream media.

Unburdened by the shackles of an overarching political agenda the team can be found debating long into the (Wednesday) night at the Crown Tavern, meeting place of Lenin and Stalin.
