Meet the Team

Michelle Burgess – Michelle has freelanced for the Nationals and is a veteran of the Daily Mail newsroom. She is currently working on articles explaining the origins of newspark.

Matthew Chapman – Matthew was a key member of the Gleaner’s sports desk during Jamaica’s recent success at the Beijing Olympics.

Tim Dickens – Tim’s infectious personality is the driving force behind newspark. He has a great nose for a story and is on the money every time.

Charles Dick-Hutchinson – from the Beer Halls of Germany to the theatres of the West End Charles is unrivalled in his cutural savvy.

Rose Harper – chief fashion correspondent Rose will tell you what ‘the look’ is this summer. She is personal stylist for some of the country’s best footballers.

Poppy Hughes – Poppy has a wealth of experience at Guardian Publishing and will ensure copy is perfect.

Sarah Graham – Welsh girl Sarah is undoubtedly the most committed to the newspark team – she commutes from the Welsh Valleys to our Clerkenwell offices just so she can be part of this great publication.

Jack Griffith – a well known face on London’s DJ circuit newspark achieved a great coup when they sigend up Jack as thespark music correspondant.

Philip Harrison – Phil is our most tenacious newshound and will not shy away from any story. He has built up quite a prolific reputation and has left the Independent to join the newspark team.

Reena Kumar – an expert linguist and a world leader in her knowledge of the Tamil Tigers Reena is your ‘go to girl’ if you want to know the latest on international developments.

Elinor McClarence – Elinor’s love of the natural world is indisputable and means she is a shoe-in for our chief enviromental reporter position.

Jonny Medway – Jonny is no stranger to the high life and is an expert yatchsman-turned-reporter. Jonny spends his weekends skippering boats all over the world, from the Caribbean to the South of France.

Sofia Mitra-Thakur – Sofia has excellent contacts at Britain’s Nationals and has her finger on the pulse of the media’s latest technological developments.

Patrick O’Brien – ‘our man in Dublin’. Patrick is sure to keep us up to date with our Irish and European cousins.

Barry O’Sullivan - Look out for Barry’s great way with words and amusing writing style, which he has perfected during his time at the Mirror.

Jon Reilly- John is no stranger to the gliteratti, having interviewed stars such as Michael Ball. John has been voted the best dressed of the newspark team.
